            plan designs, your budget, log styles and the construction process. 
            Let an experienced builder familiar with a variety of log materials 
            help you make the right selections for you.
 
            4. 
            Pre-qualify with a lender.Visit with a mortgage company or bank 
            to discuss what construction and/or home mortgage options are 
            available for you. This will give you an idea of whether your budget 
            is in line with the home you want to build. Consult with your Old 
            Hickory representative for our list of financing companies that are 
            experienced with log home lending.
 
            5. 
            Understanding your overall budget costs.Your Old Hickory representative will carefully 
            review what costs you can expect from every aspect of your project. 
            Having the comfort of a "No Surprises" approach to your turn key 
            building costs helps ensure a pleasant building experience.
 
            6. Choose a 
            floor plan and secure with a deposit.Make a list of your lifestyle needs and 
            also the "must haves" for your new home. Your Old Hickory 
            representative will help guide you in your plan selection, or 
            suggest the custom plan options that are available.
 
            7. Review any 
            revisions to the plans.Once your preliminary revisions are 
            completed, go over your plans with your Old Hickory representative. 
            Make changes as needed, but be sure to discuss if your change 
            request affects your overall project costs.
 
            8. Site 
            visit.Schedule a site meeting with Old Hickory 
            Construction to begin site development plans. This includes lot 
            clearing, grading, driveway, home placement, and improvements such 
            as well and septic requirements.
 
            9. Finalize 
            plans.Review plans closely for any final 
            adjustments. Sign off on any changes for final construction 
            blueprints.
 
            10. 
            Owner/builders:Obtain quotes and bids from your 
            subcontractors so you can compile a total project cost. Present this 
            to your financial lender to secure financing.
 
            11. 
            Turnkey clients:Meet with your Old Hickory 
            representative to select all items and features of your home. We 
            will then supply you with a complete financing package that includes 
            all the plans and specifications that your lender will need to 
            complete your construction loan.
 
            12. 
            Select a closing date with you lender. 
            13. 
            Select a construction start date.Owner/builders: Be sure you 
            understand all of your responsibilities so your site will be ready 
            for log delivery. Turnkey clients: Work with Old Hickory 
            Construction to finalize any paperwork needed so we can begin your 
            site development.
